A lot of people are concerned about their physical health but care little about their spiritual health.

GOD IS JUDGE

Hebrews 9:27

"And is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment;"

Ecclesiastes 12:14

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,

whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

GOD IS HOLY

Isaiah 6:1-5

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a

JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY TO HEAVEN

JESUS CHRIST DIED AS PAYMENT FOR OUR SINS SO WE CAN BE FORGIVEN

Romans 5:8

sinners, Christ died for us.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our

iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his

stripes we are healed.

REPENT

Acts 3:19

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted

out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the

Lord.

CALL UPON THE NAME OF JESUS

Acts 2:21

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the

Lord shall be saved.

YOU ARE SAVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE AND NOT BY DOING GOOD WORKS.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is

the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5-6

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his

mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the

Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our

Saviour;

Where will you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell?

DECIDE TODAY TO BE SAVED!

Hebrews 3:7-8, 18-19

Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice,

Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in

the wilderness:

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to

them that believed not

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

2. DEAL WITH ANY CONTINUING SIN IN YOUR LIFE.

Some (but not all) illnesses could be a result of sin, with which you have not dealt in your life.

Ask God to show you if there are any areas like this in your life and then deal with those

issues.

3. AVOID UNNECESSARY STRESS IN YOUR LIFE.

Philippians 4:6-7

"Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all

understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

4. LAUGH

Proverbs 17:22

" A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

5. PRAYER

Have Christians pray for you.

James 5:16

"...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Romans 2:5

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto

thyself wrathagainst the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous

judgment of God;

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

1. ACCEPT JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR FOR FORGIVENESS OF SINS AND

   ETERNAL LIFE. (Where life begins for you.)

   John 3:3

     Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a

   man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

   Romans 10:9-10

   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in

   thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth

   confession is made unto salvation.

2. BE BAPTIZED. (A PUBLIC PROFESSION OF CHRIST'S ATONEMENT FOR YOU.)

   Acts 8:12

   But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the

   kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized,

   both men and women.

3. WHEN YOU SIN, REPENT AND ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOU A.S.A.P.

   I John 1:8-9

   If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is

   not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us

   our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

4. READ, STUDY, AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD-THE BIBLE EACH DAY.

   1 Peter 2:2

   As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may

   grow thereby:

   2 Timothy 2:15

   Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth

   not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

   Psalm 1:2

   But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth

   he meditate day and night.

5. ATTEND A BIBLE-FOCUSED CHURCH AND WORSHIP WITH OTHER

   CHRISTIANS.

   Hebrews 10:25

   Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of

   some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see

   the day approaching.

6. GIVE TO THE LORD. TIME, TALENTS AND TREASURE (INCOME, ...)

   BE A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD.

   2 Corinthians 9:7

     Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not

   grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

7. PRAY. (RECEIVE DAILY DIRECTION FROM HIS WORD AND SPIRIT)

   James 5:16

   "...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

8. SHARE GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION WITH OTHERS AS A GENUINE DISCIPLE.

     Romans 1:16

     For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of

   God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and

   also to the Greek.

9. MAKE DISCIPLES.

   Matthew 28:19-20

    Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of t

   the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to

   observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am

   with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

10. SERVE THE LORD AND OTHERS.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye

present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service.

Mark 10:44

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

OTHER FACTORS AFFECTING PRODUCTIVITY, etc:

serving vs. complaining or dominating
obedience vs. willfulness
being teachable vs. pridefulness or stubborness
boldness vs. victimized, frustrated, irritated, timid
thankfulness, friendliness vs. self-pity, insensitivity
alertness vs. alcohol or food sedation
peacefulness vs. anger addiction, fearfulness
wise, holy vs. foolish, common
sincerity vs. hypocrisy
emotion of fear vs. spirit of fear
trust in God, fear of God vs. fearfulness, lawlessness
truthfulness, objectivity vs. deception, hypocrisy
reality vs. relativism, self-delusion
absolutes vs. hopelessness
mind renewed vs. frustrated, disoriented
others vs. me, my, mine, meaninglessness
Holy Bible vs. intolerance, bigotry, pipedreams, lust
Eternal gain vs. temporal gain, things, wasted life
God-directed vs. self-deluded, defeated, alienated
God-dependant vs. limitations, wrong decisions
Forgiving others vs. alienating God, condemnation
Lordship of Jesus Christ vs. futility, calamities, death
forgiveness in Jesus Christ vs. self-righteousness
freedom of speech and religion vs. persecution

These are verses Jerry uses daily to get his rest and have a right attitude.

Psalm 4:8

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
